In the OpenKids journey, Creative Arts is the “Discover” stage (ages 3–6) — first brushstrokes become creative confidence.

Three Studios, One Young Artist

2y8m – 8

Creative Foundations

Graphic design, sculpture and ceramics, printmaking and outdoor drawing — idea-led creative training that protects a child's originality while little hands learn real techniques.

Ages 8+

Professional Studio

Sketching, charcoal and oil painting; colour through soft pastel, pencil and marker — the classical foundation every personal style is built on.

Ages 8–18

Portfolio Preparation

Portfolio development across art forms, overseas study programmes and international competitions — the body of work that carries a student into art school.

Taught the IB Way

The studio teaches with the IB Approaches to Learning framework — teaching a child to fish rather than handing out fish — through five habits practised in every class:

  • Thinking

    Original ideas before correct answers.

  • Communication

    Work that can explain itself — and a child who can too.

  • Social

    Team canvases, critique circles, shared walls.

  • Research

    Looking hard at the world before drawing it.

  • Self-management

    Finishing pieces, keeping folios, owning progress.
