At a Glance
OpenKids is a Singapore education platform founded in 2015. It grew from one art studio into four connected programmes — Creative Arts, STEAM & AI, Competition & Awards and Global Admissions — serving 10,000+ students across our direct campuses and 80+ partner centres in 12 markets, and won the 2026 VEX V5 Robotics World Championship.

The Story
It Started With One Art Studio — and One Question.
Why does a child have to start over every few years?
In 2015 we opened an art studio in Singapore with a motto on the wall: From Education to Happiness. Classes filled. Children stayed. And year after year, we watched the same quiet tragedy — a child would fall in love with making things, turn nine or ten, and leave. Not because the love ran out, but because the school did. There was nowhere to go next.
So we built the next place ourselves. A coding academy, for the artist who started asking how games are made. A competition robotics team, for the builder who outgrew the classroom. An admissions practice, for the teenager whose twelve years of work deserved to reach a university's desk. Each one tested in Singapore for years — refined, awarded, full — before it earned a place in the journey.
Curriculum. Faculty. Technology. Competitions. We took education apart, kept only what worked, and connected it into a single path a child can walk from three to twenty-four — where every ending is a handover, and nothing a child builds is ever left behind.

The First Brushstroke
A hand that can barely hold a crayon starts drawing every week. Colour first, confidence with it — and a learning record that starts on day one.

Sketchbooks make room for screens. The same creative confidence now builds games and apps — the record follows, nothing restarts.

Design, build, break, rebuild — a full VEX season run like an engineering project, with teammates, deadlines and a scoreboard.

A childhood of work becomes a portfolio no essay can fake. The admissions team shapes it into applications — and offers arrive.

Every programme spent years in our own classrooms before it travelled — refined term by term, awarded in public competitions, full enough to hold waitlists. Singapore parents are the hardest examiners in education; passing them is the entry ticket to this journey. What a partner receives, and what a child sits in, is never an experiment.

A child who joins at three is handed from teacher to teacher, programme to programme, with a learning record that never resets. The sketchbook feeds the coding project; the robot season feeds the portfolio; the portfolio becomes the application. Most education makes children start again every few years. Ours makes every year count towards the next.

MagiBox runs the lesson, the materials and the live learning record parents follow at home; the CRM handles scheduling, reports and reminders. What's left in the classroom is the only thing that ever mattered — a trained teacher, fully present, spending every hour on the child instead of the paperwork.

Coaches, curricula and competition seats move freely across the network — a student in Dubai trains to the same standard, on the same record, as one in Orchard.
